Human Chorionic Gonadotropin

Better known as hCG. This hormone is produced during pregnancy. It is the hormone that causes you to test positive on a pregnancy test. A quantitative beta hCG blood test determines the actual level of hCG in your blood stream. This level typically doubles every 48-72 hours and sometimes sooner.

In our case, much sooner..

At 15dpo my beta hCG number came back at an unusually high 586. Two days later we repeated the test at 17dpo. My results, a whopping 1800!! This means our beta hCG level is doubling every 29.6 hours.

A very good sign of a strong healthy pregnancy!

and probably the reason for the slight morning sickness I have been experiencing
